Good Weekend

This has been a good weekend, not that much has happen but my cold is getting better so I felt Like a real person again. Saturday was errand day. Got the HHr serviced it was the 30,000 mile service but since they didn't have record of the 15, 000 mile service they did thatin instead, it was cheaper. Thank G-d !! It cost enough the 30,000 is twice as much. Yuk ! Went to the show we saw the book of Eli. It was good.
PaPa's kat's Mom was in a car accident, she pulled out in front of a car, She got pretty banged up, She broke her foot and hurt her shoulder and can't move her arm on that side because everything is bruised. Made a pot of beans with the left over ham bone from Christmas..Yum I did take down the Christmas Tree, so the holidays are now over, finally!

A little under the weather

I am still a little under the weather, can't seem to get rid of this cold. I had a infusion on Thursday so that of course didn't help matters as far as the cold any way.
I didn't do very much this weekend. I wanted to take down the Christmas stuff but that didn't happen. Dinner was simple a frozen lasagna and garlic bread. I am not much better today but it seems it will take a long time to shed this cold but good news it is suppose to be in the 40's all week!
Amber got contacts yesterday, wonder how long it will take her to get them in and out.
She likes the idea of having friends spend the night at my house but is thinking about a slumber party for her Birthday. Not sure I am ready for that.

Back to normal again

Now the the kids have left and the holidays are over and done with, the only thing left to do is take down the tree and put away the holiday things for next year. Ever year I say I am going to get a new tree but end up using the old one again. Every year, I think if I toss it now then I will have to get a new one but as luck has it, money is always a issue around that time. If I was smart, I would buy one after the holidays but that doesn't happen either. Oh well.
I am still nursing a cold and I hope it goes away soon. I have gone thru a box of Kleenex and now I am on TP duty until I go to the store. Is is not as soft!
I really enjoyed having the kids for the Holidays, wish I could see them more often. (hint)
This weekend I don't have anything planned except a trip to the store. It has been very cold this week but is suppose to warm up to the forties next week. Heat wave!

Monday and counting

It is the start of another week and It has been a Monday, Christmas is in a little over a week and I am not any farther along then I was last week. Since I am taking the week after Christmas off I will have to have the month closed out before Christmas. As far as Christmas in general ,I am taking that one day at a time. The Christmas tree is up and that's a plus and as far as everything else I guess that is one day at a time too. Christmas for me is more work then fun so It isn't my favorite time of the year. Now if I was 10 it would be a wonderful time of the year. Friday is Papa kat's and my Anniversary it will be 44 years, So I am taking the day off and we are going to do something special, go out to eat or something like that. I am hoping I can some chores done too. We will see what the day brings, Fingers crossed hoping it all works out in my favor. haha

Kitten is home now

The kitten is home from the hospital . Since she went to Wal-Mart last night I would say she must be on the mend. Her family made her ride in a cart at least.
I made her the jello salad she likes last night and found out she wasn't at home when I called to tell them I would be bringing it over. I wasn't happy about her being out but they had gotten a refund check and I am sure it was burning a hole in some one's pocket. Just hope she doesn't over do it.
Kids they never listen to their parents no matter how old they are.

Kitten doing well

The oldest kitten had surgery and seems like she is doing well. Hopefully she will be home tomorrow. Counting the days until Christmas and my other kitten will be here to visit. Yeah!!!

Sick kitten

Brendie kat has to have surgery next Wednesday, poor kitten, she has to have her appendix removed. Ouch ! She should be good by Christmas if all goes according to plan. One night in the hospital, it is a late surgery and a week off of work. She has been having very high blood pressure lately so they put her on blood pressure med's and hopefully that will help. Hope she will feel better soon,
