On the mend

Went to the paw Dr today, everything is going as expected.

Still have to wear the boot any time I will be on my feet for more then 30 minutes. I will need to get a transition pair of shoes on payday but the swelling will still be with me for a while. I can wear some compression stocking to help with that.

I can't wait.

The movie wasn't bad either. If you like action, this is the one to see, non stop for 1hr and 58 minutes. Now I have to get back to planet earth and finish dinner.
Bummer!

Garage Sale Find

Papa Kat and I were running some errands when we happened upon
a garage sale that had a fish tank for sale. It was a 29 gal Hiline which is like two 15 on top each other so for $7.00 it was a good deal. We decided to look at a few more garage sales and found a stand which came with a 10 gal tank. So for $12.00 I got a 29 gal ,10 gal and a stand that fits them both.
Now I have to find some place to put it. I can always sell it at the fish meeting if I decide not to keep it.

Missing hearing from Tator and Bubba

What's up, Haven't been hearing from the the young ones. I guess they are having to much fun this summer. I know that they will be coming home soon. The dreaded school starts soon so maybe then the Tator will write again.
I did hear from Momoko today, that's always very nice. She did tell me that the young ones are still live and kick'n, So that makes me very happy.

Feeling Full and Broke

Fixed pork chops for dinner with a little baked potato on the side. Now I am feeling full.

Today we decided to pay a Kohl's' bill via the phone, we normally write a check. Now that the stamps have gone up we are trying to pay everything either on line or over the phone. Papa kat had the job of getting that done.

The account is in my name, so of course that wouldn't take money from him. I called and it would be a $5.00 charge over the phone but we could do it on line for free. Many moons ago Papa Kat had set up a password on the account and of course I could not figure it out. It gave you that hint that you always have to check when you set one up. Now did he put his birth place or mine. Both didn't work so another phone call was in order. She gave me the answer to the hint, which was the town and the state but Papa kat had abbreviated the state not like it should have been so I would have never figured it out. Now everything is paid but they sure didn't make it easy, just to pay a bill.

You would think they would take money from anyone, Guess not.

Dumplin time

Today I did the snail thinning out thing and cleaned the front of the tanks and changed a filter.
That was my work on the tanks for the day.
Dinner was homemade chicken and dumplings, Very yummy. Davkat brought over some french bread that just hit the spot with the soup. Now that my tummy is full I could take a short nap but bed time is just around the corner.
Today I decided it was time to wear a shoe around the house on the foot I had surgery on. To my surprise nothing fit, guess it is still swollen , at least enough that I can't wear any of my shoes. Bummer. Next week I go to the Dr. to see how much longer I will have to wear the boot. So If I don't have to wear it then I guess new shoes will be in order but do I get two sizes??

Good Fishy day

Went to the fish meeting and the talk was about algae and a small talk about snails. They both were interesting long and the short of it was you can't really get rid of snails. Once a week I normally just weed them out. I did get some good deals on some fish, spent a total of $20.00 and 10 of it was for a pair of panda cory catfish. The others were some assorted swords, all were very small fry.

I decided since I had small babies it was time to move my other small fish in the tank with bigger fish. Which means in order to catch them I had to move all the rocks out and also be very quick with the net. Now because I was moving these fish in a tank with bigger fish I have to move the rocks around in that tank too, I didn't have to take them out just move them around to change their territories. Now everyting is in the correct tank. Tomorrow I will have to thin out the snails and watch the new fish swim around. They are so cute.
