Back Home Again

Didn't learn very much and can't even say I had fun but it was a few days away from the office. Down side, 2 days of work on my desk and can't say the pile is any less today.

Today we went to see RED the movie is was good, so was the popcorn.

Slow learner

Well I made to my work shop, which is learning how to pull data from our system and develop wonderful reports. At least that is the reason for the class. There are four people in the class and two of us have kinda worked on this before. Kind of a self taught method for me but I still have no clue. I am hoping tomorrow will bring a shinning light on the whole thing.

PaPa kat is visiting his mother while I am here, so I am by myself in a big room with a King size bed all to myself. The room is nice but I wouldn't pay these prices, it isn't that nice. I have some home work so I better go.

Class in Texas

I figured I better write a little something, and look, it is on the correct post this time. The weather has been nice in the 70's, no rain yet. It is usually the rainy season by now. Papa kat however watered the neighbor hood and I am sure our water bill will reflect that. A couple of days ago I noticed our water press wasn't up to par and the shower didn't have much pressure. Didn't think to much about it. Yesterday I grilled some pork chops and heard water running asked Papa if he was watering, he said no. A little while later the neighbor lady called and said her back yard was flooded. It looks like he had the water on for a few days and it didn't flood our yard or we would have noticed it. $$$$$ I hate to see that water bill. He doesn't remember when he lasted water, I sure he got a call or something and thought he had shut if off.

I had my scan done of my thyroid and the news wasn't to good I have a few tumors, so now I have to have some more tests to see if it the big C. Most of these things are not but I guess we will wait and see. That probably means another surgery in my future. I sure hate getting old my pocket book doesn't like it either!

Back home again

Back home after a week in good old Santa Cruz, Ca visiting my mom and relatives. We had a

good time, everyone treated us like kings and queens. Now it is back to the old grime of things and back to work tomorrow. I sure could do with out that but gotta pay the bills.

We had a good visit with my Mom, it was nice catching up on old times. It was nice to see my mother was doing better. Hopefully soon she will be well enough to visit everyone soon. We will keep our fingers crossed.

We set her up a face book account so we can all keep in touch so Momoko let's hear from you.

Long week for a short one

Hope everyone had a good labor day. Mine was fine. Most of it was spent at our fish convention

sold some fish bought some fish. It made the weekend go by pretty fast and for a short week at work, it has been a long one.

Next week we go visit my mother, I should be thinking about what I need to bring but that will happen the day before I am sure.

Davkat is having problems again, he was going to the Dr. today hope he feels better soon. Papakat got his new I phone yesterday and is driving me crazy on tying to figure out how it works. Of course he hasn't read the manual yet.

Another month bites the dust

Yeah EOM is over!

Dave came home the day of the Surgery and seems to be doing well. This weekend is our Fall Fotas Fish meeting and Auction, so I hope he is doing well enough to go.

I plan on unloading some of my Mollies, hope I can catch them, sometimes they just don't want to jump in the net.

Are you ready for the storm that is coming your way, I hope it goes another direction. Looks like it going to mess with the Labor day weekend.

Poor Davkat has surgery tomorrow morning to have his gall
bladder removed.

Papa working on Mom's computer

This weekend Papa' kats mother's computer bit the dust, so he has been working over the phone with his brother to get it up and running.

So that has been taking up most of the weekend and of course today. I hope they are finished by the end of the day. His brother went and bought a new computer and they worked on the phone to get it up and running with her programs, they were having all kinds of problems and after a talk with the geek squad it was determined that something was wrong with the computer. His brother returned it and now they are trying again but this time it seems to be working correctly.

We are suppose to get a cool front in today with a chance of rain tomorrow, today it was over a 100 and tomorrow is suppose to be in the 80's, I sure can't wait for a little cool.

A little cooler today

The temp is a little cooler today, over cast, we were suppose to get rain but I never saw any here. I think we have a small chance over the next few days but today was suppose to be the best chance.

Put some steaks on the grill, the cheap kind that I bought for 2.49 a lb. they are not real tender even after you marinade them but it eats anyway.

Today Papa kat and I had to get a fish out of a rock, he was stuck.
This is not the first time and they usually die from the stress and it did.
The males fight over girls and the loser well, it isn't pretty.

I still like this better then facebook but maybe facebook will grow on me.

Not any cooler yet

This weekend was good, I did groom and we did go to the show as planned.

We saw the Expendables, It was your regular Rambo movie, we thought it was good.

Papa kat did some weed trimming around our tomato plants, he used the weed wackier, now we are needing some more plastic string. It never ends.

I am not looking forward to another week at work however I do like the pay checks!

Facebook

Momoko wants us to sign up on Facebook, which we did but I kinda of like this blogging system.

It is still hot but the weatherman says we may have a chance of rain and lower temps around Sunday. I am sure that rain and heat will really mean lower temps that feel hotter.

We really don't have anything planned for the weekend. I really need to groom a few dogs and I am sure we will go to the movies.

Today was the first day of school here. I am sure a the young ones are just loving that.

What's up

had a good weekend, helped one of the kittens with her garage sale until noon.
By then it was far to hot and not many people showed up. I don't know how well they did but it wasn't very much.

Went to the fish meeting after that, Picked up a few things nothing to get excited about. Next month is our big fall show and auction, so I will have to see what I can come up with then.

Yesterday we were on our own, the kittens had things to do. We went to the show, we saw the other guys, I wasn't to impressed, just wasn't my cup of tea I guess.

This week it is going to be over 100 all week, so says the weatherman. Oh yeah!

Is this week over yet

This week has drained our pocket books dry, just waiting for the 3rd thing to break or stop working. Monday it was the air conditioner and today it was the plumbing.

Papa was suppose to be home for the plumber but at 3 he still wasn't done with his computer project for the Jewish foundation, the appointment was for 4. So I had to leave work to meet the plumber, which being a Friday would not have been bad. I had the MRI done this morning so I was already out of pocket for almost 3 hours. I should have taken the whole day off.

I get a call from my oldest kitten and she decided to have a garage sale tomorrow. Last minute and wants me to come over and help in the morning. I guess I could put a few things in to sale, but I would have liked a little more notice.

Tomorrow is suppose to be our monthly fish meeting and I want to go to that, so I guess I will help her in the morning and then she is on her own. It's to hot by then any way.

Brekat decided she was going to visit my Mom as well, she told me today she booked the tickets for both her and Amkat to go the same time we do. As long as it is about my Mom and not whats fun for Amkat we'll be ok.

School starting soon

On week from today the kitten's here will start school . I am sure they are not all that excited.

Tomorrow have get my MRI, I so am not looking forward to that.

Not happy

Friday they pulled the plug on internet use at work.
No more blogging , I can't even send my e cards.
They just made it So we can only go to work related sites.
Bummer!!!!

Went to the show and did the normal stuff, nothing special.

Got the tickets to see my Mom in Sept. We are going Sept 15-21st.

Weekend is almost here!

Today means one more day of work and then the weekend, yeh. We don't have anything planned but it is the weekend. We most likely will go to the show, Papa thought Charlie St Cloud looked good. That doesn't seem like his kinda of show but we will see.

I did get my hair cut and my infusion and my MRI was rescheduled until the 6th to a place that is on my insurance. By now I would have been at 100% on my insurance but this year since we have a different plan, I am still plugging away at 30%. I sure hope they don't ask for any up front money.

I better get to work, it is the EOM and I have a lot to do yet.

Hair cut day

This weekend was good, we saw the movie SALT, it was very good.
Not much else is new, same old stuff.

We are thinking of going to see my Mom in Sept, we have decided to fly instead of driving. Haven't gotten the tickets yet so we will see how that pans out.

I was suppose to have a MRI on Monday but I didn't see the place that they had me scheduled on my insurance list, So I called. It is out of network, so I sure don't want to go there. I called and canceled and placed a call for my Dr. to choose some place else.

Today I get my hair cut, so yesterday I made Papa help me with a perm. He complains about the smell but he does a good job squirting the stuff on. This comes with years of practice of course.

Lazy Thursday

I just can't seem to move very fast today, I am sure it is alleries but my get up and go just went.

Still hot, still nothing new. I am glad for the weekend also, we want to see the movie Salt.

It looks like it might be good, guess we will see what the paper says. You can't always go by that but it gives you a idea, if it is rated one star you might want to wait until it comes out on DVD.

HUMP DAY

I have been busy at work, so I haven't had time to blogg. All is well, not much new.

I did make Jam this weekend and we also went to the show and saw both
the The Sorcerers appentice and Inception, both were good.

It is hot and I guess it will be that way until summer's over.

Glad to see that the Kit kat wrote a few words now I am waiting on a review from Little.

I was glad to here everyone in MD is doing well. Summer is going to be over soon for those who like to stay up late and sleep in, for others it is just another day at work. bummer

Hot Hot Hot

Now that we don't have rain, it is just to hot, I need a happy medium.

Looking forward to the weekend. I have berries juiced and ready to go for the big jam making session, now to get the other ingredients. There are some good movies to watch and just plan not at work time to enjoy.

I heard the Big DC had a little quake did anyone notice???? That would have been early and all might have still be snoring logs, right.

Hey, I thought the kittens were suppose to be blogging ( Kit Kat) are they having that much fun or did they break fingers??? Just wondering!!

We have SUN!

It is so bright it hurts your eyes. I guess not seeing sunshine can effect you that way. We have Sun but we also have Heat and Humidity which will make us feel like it is in the 100's, so the weatherman says.

I bought 7 qts of blackberries, so I have some Jam making time ahead of me.
They are very small berries so I hope I will have enough juice for a batch of Jam.

My plans are to either juice or freeze them tonight. I got them yesterday but was feeling a little under the weather. Allergies, Mold and who knows what else is out there.

Rain is almost ending

Today according to the weather man is the last day it is suppose to rain this week. It has rained everyday this month. This weekend it stayed nice during the day but at night we got a little wet. Just a little, nothing like those pouring down rains. it is overcast today so we are hoping for sun tomorrow. Went and had my eyes checked, all is well in that department.
See you in a year, unless my vision gets worse so says the doctor. Yeah

Did not do anything this weekend, worked on my tanks for a little bit. My baby fish tank was a lovely shade of greenish water. I think the baby fish food was making it turn green as the food is green powder. They are big enough for real food now, so hopefully that will solve the problem.

Didn't go the movie or cook Sunday dinner, the kittens had plans. Now this week there is a few things I want to see.

It is still raining

It rained hard again yesterday, this is not your normal rain and rain can come down in buckets in this part of the woods. Everything is soaked and can't take any more mosture. It is crasy wet.
Now if we pray for sun, that might be all we get and we need a little rain now and then. Hopefully this weekend will be dry.

Rain, Rain let's stop

Ok the rain can stop any time!!! It flooded again yesterday and was a real trip trying to get home. The creek in our neighbor hood over flowed and they closed down streets everywhere. This morning all the water levels were back to normal ,we got over 5 inches in a hour and the water had no place to go.

Did we do something to make the weather god mad???

I am beginning to think so.

July 4th now back at work.

The fourth was great but most fireworks were postponed until later because of the rain. We were having the rain effects from the hurricane and now we will have the effects of the gulf making a rainy week. It put a damper on a lot of plans for the 4th however when you are our age you don't have any to mess with.

Now I am back at work, it is always bad after a holiday because everyone gets back into their normal swing of things and remember they need to pay their bill or order something. Which is good for the company but not so much for the workers.

I groomed 4 dogs and gave 2 of them a bath, the black ones needed a little soap.
The others get bathed more often since mud and white don't mix well.

Like I said it has been raining and rain and heat makes for some humid temps, so we are all putting up with that. I heard that the east is suffering with the heat also. Thank g-d for the air conditioning!!

Rainy holiday

It is Monday and I am enjoying a day at home instead of at work.
Didn't do to much this weekend. Went to the show saw the last airbender, it was ok.
Helped Amkat with Sunday dinner, she decided on Chicken Pesto Pasta. It was good. I am not a real fan of Pesto but she did well.
My oldest kitten wasn't feeling well, she was having a hard time breathing and needed to use the breathing machine that Papa kat has. If she isn't feeling better today I think she needs to go and get a shot.
My job today is to groom all the dogs plus Barker but as you can see I haven't started yet, just being lazy. Papa Kat is still snoring ZZZ's and it is almost noon. I guess I better start my day and start using the clippers. Have a good day!

Yeah for the 4th

Inventory is finally over and I am looking forward to the long weekend.

Nothing planned, there is a few things I should get done, like grooming the dogs and working on the fish tanks. I am ready for a peaceful weekend.

Inventory takes a lot out of me, now my paycheck will be better since it will have some OT on it but by Wednesday I was ready for it to end.

Everyone is doing well, I need to call my mom and check on her, I haven't talked to her this week. Lunch is coming so I gotta go.

A New week

This week with be light on the blogs, I have our big inventory so I will not have much time to blogs. The kids finally picked up the dogs, so they made it back safe and sound. We went to the show and saw Knight and day. It was cute, not the best flick in town but ok. Looking forward to the 3 day weekend.
Hope the kitten get off ok and have a fun visit with their dad. They better blog a little more so we can keep in touch, Momoko too.

Babysitting critters

The kids left today on their vacation. It started much sooner then I thought, I

was thinking Friday.

They were suppose to leave bright and early this morning. so they brought the animals over last night. I told Papa that I know them and they will not get up early. The oldest kitten called when they got on their way it was around 10. They are going to Galveston, that is just to hot and humid for me.

Had my eye checked yesterday, all is going according to the Dr's plans. I have it re checked next month.

It will be a long next few days, the kids plan on being back Sunday night. One good thing I don't have to fix dinner.

Tomorrow I go to Dr. Coddings, they will do my yearly x-rays. They always tell me places that are falling apart that I am not aware of yet. That will most likely be a all afternoon event. I am so not looking forward to that. Gotta do what you gotta do I guess.

A new week ahead

The weekend was great, went to the show and saw the karate kid. It was good. Did the normal Saturday, Sunday stuff. Nothing really special.

This week is full of Dr's appointments, Eye Dr tomorrow. Thursday with the RA Dr and Friday a infusion. Next week is end of year inventory, I so am not looking forward to that.

Now that Monoko is off for the summer, I think she can write a few words on the blog now and then. What so you think?

The kids are going out of town and taking a long weekend, They haven't said yet were they are going. Just away, I am sure a few fish stores are on the list of things to do.

This means of course we get to babysit the critters and now they have 5 dogs. This weekend will not be a quite one that is for sure.

Back to work

Surgery went according to plan. Check up today went well. My lens is still swollen so my eye sight is burred but should get better in a few days.

Went back to work today, was a little hard doing paper work but managed.

It is Subway again tonight, Papa Kat went to pick it up, it was his turn to fix dinner. Tomorrow it will be back to cooking for me. Hope you have fun on your trip keep us posted.

Good Weekend

Had a nice weekend. Saturday we had our oil changed in the car and serviced. I am not sure that everything we were charged for was really done in the short time it took them to do it. While waiting for the car to be done we picked up a quick bite at Subway. It seems to be Papa Kat's favorite place lately.

Yesterday we went to the movie and saw A TEAM, it was great, one of the better movies we have seen this year. It had things blowing up and was funny which made for a good combination.

Amkat came over and she fixed dinner. (We are trying to get her better at the cooking thing.)

I told her it had to be something she had never fixed before. This was her first do it all my self Sunday dinner. She picked Spaghetti lasagna, it was pretty good. We are going to do this again next Sunday but this time she has to go with me to the grocery store to get the stuff.

She will have to do a shopping list. She should know all this stuff my now but needs some practice.

Tomorrow I get my other eye done, so we will see how well I will see after that.

It has been raining buckets today, Flash flooding everywhere. I hope the streets are dry by the time I get home. Later

Da weekend is coming

Yeah for Friday, To bad it is not my payday then it would really be a good day. Nothing of interest planned for the weekend.
Need to get the oil changed in the car. Papa kat is suppose to make the appointment, we'll see if that gets done. He has been having computer problems and that trumps most every thing else. It is the computer he plays his games on, so you know that has priority.
We have two movies we want to see, so we will most likely see the A team first. The Karate kid will come later. It has been very hot I am already ready for some cooler weather and summer has just began. Thank g_d for air conditioning!

Not much new

Hey I want a vacation too. Hope you get some good tanning going on and no burning.

Not much is new here. We did a water change in the tanks last night, had left overs and watched a little TV. My mom called and we talked for a while and that was my wonderful night.

No fish get together.

Saturday we picked up our food share order and then went to Mc D's. I just love their biscuits and gravy, yumm. They are doing away with the food share for the summer but we still do the Angel food just at at a different place now. I like Angel food better anyway.

Went to Homeland to pick up some potato salad for our fish get together.

We drove to the house of the person who was having it but when we got there we were the only one's who said we were coming so we took our potato salad home and eat it yesterday. They we hoping for some people who didn't RSVP but no one showed. They saved their food and so did we.

We did stop off a the fish store that was close by so the trip wasn't a waste. I got a few mollies, colors I didn't already have , that was it.

Yesterday we went to the Movies just Papa and I, we saw the Killers. It was cute and the Popcorn was good.

Yeah for the weekend

Wow the week end is almost here. I just love these 4 day work weeks.
It has been crazy at work, making up for the day we were off that is.

I don't have much planned, suppose to have a fish get together but not sure if I am going to go. I will have to wait and see how I feel. It's not a meeting just a get together. The good thing it is close to the fish store in Norman that we like to go to. I have to save my pennies so that might not be a good idea.

I went and had my permanent crown put on today so now I should be able to chew on that side, it is my favorite side to chew on so I have missed not being able to chew on it.

We were suppose to go to a wedding tomorrow but decided to just send money instead.

Nothing much is planned, hope you all have a good weekend in your cool house.

Happy days are now over, Boo hoo

It is back to work, bummer. I was really getting into the being off thing, to bad we are not off for the summer like some people we know.

I got most of the things on my list to do, done except getting the living room carpet done. I had to wait on the Papa and he always seems to have other more important things to do. He did get the hallway done so will have to give him pats for that.

I groomed, so my babies look pretty again and did the normal cleaning stuff.

We went to the show on Sunday and saw the Prince of Persia, it was good. I liked the eye candy.

Now for another week at the funny farm, it is only a 4 day work week so that's great, gotta love the holidays.

Work, work, work, EOM

This will be short and sweet, I have a full week getting the month closed out and a few Dr's appoint to fill in the blank spots.

I see the eye Dr. tomorrow to see when they will do my other eye.

Other then that nothing is new.

Fun weekend

Didn't do much of interest on Saturday. I needed to do a few things but had a lazy b___t so not much got done. Yesterday drove to Tulsa for a fish auction.
It wasn't the best auction but I did pick up a few fish. We then went to a fish store that the kittens really like. I got a few fish there as well, nothing special.
Drove home, it didn't take very long until the passengers were snoring ZZZZ's. When I got home I had to get the new fish ready for the tanks after that watched a little TV and then called it a night. I am looking forward to the 3 day weekend, nothing is planned but just three days off is a good thing.

Look in for a nice weekend weather wise

It is suppose to be nice this weekend, no bad weather and warm.

Sunday I think I am going with the kittens to Tulsa for a fish meeting and auction. It is the clubs spring fling. I hope I can find some nice deals.

We will be taking my car as it gets better gas mileage then the kittens truck. So I have to make the decision to either drive myself or let a kitten drive. If I drive I usually have a driver in the passenger seat giving me unwanted directions. If they drive, I fear for my life. ( it isn't that bad but you get the idea)

Hope you are cool my the weekends end and I have plenty of new fish.

Bad weather night

Last night was another bad weather night but we were lucky everything was north or south of us. It doesn't do much for watching TV, as it is all weather . I guess it is better then not knowing what is going on, however sometimes I think the weathermen get carried away a little.
Not much else is knew. I did put a few pork chops on the grill. Yumm
It started to rain but I finished anyway. You know when it rains and you have your grill on, it sizzles when it hits the hot grill, making you really want to get out of the rain. When the weather calmed down and everything was east of us, I watched a little TV and that was my evening.

Back to the dentist

Today was cleaning day at the dentist however Friday while eating my dinner my temporary crown came off and I swallowed it.

LOL no joke.

Of course I didn't know it had came off, I didn't feel it but after taking a drink I noticed it wasn't there.

So today we had to put another one on, this time he used a stronger glue.

I think I will just eat on the other side until my real one comes in.

Big hail again

This weekend was good, I did get Shine finally groomed and did our chores.

Sunday we went sand saw Robin Hood, it was very good.

Sunday afternoon we had another big storm go thru the area. It damaged cars, I mean really damaged them and broke all kinds of windows. it was measured grapefruit size in some area's. We did get hail but it was more like

quarter size at our house, it lost it's mojo, Thank heaven. My car was in the garage but papakat moved his car as close to the house as he could

All is well, we are in store of another round this week. Hopefully we will be lucky then too.

Dentist I go again

Last night while eating my salad my crown came loose. I didn't know if it was the one I just had done or one that came loose a few years ago.
As the pocket book would have it, it was the older one. Since it had been 2 years since the re glue it was time for a new one. Sure didn't want to hear that.
They weren't busy today so I was able to get everything done except of course the real deal, which will take two weeks. I now have a new temp crown until then and my pocket book is almost $600.00 lighter.
I have a teeth cleaning next week, so hope they don't find anything else.
I am poor but I can chew. yeah.

The aftermath of the big T

It is the next morning and everyone survived the night. We had tornado's all around us popping up everywhere. It was a event full night and now for the clean up.

Like I said we were ok, no damage just some leaves taken off the tree. This was the first Tornado for OKC this year but we have chances all week for more but we knew this weekend that yesterday would be bad.

Everyone at work survived but had friends or family and had damage. Sue's husband had his windshields broken by the baseball size hail and others had damaged to their roofs because of the hail.

Let's hope for a better day.

It is that time of the year again

We have had our first tornado of the year, hit cars on I 40 by Choctaw Rd. Took out homes and Mobile homes in that area. I was driving home as things were happening, hail and wind. Not fun to drive it. Softball size hall in Norman and Moore. I just love this time of the year.

Thank you kittens for a wonderful Mother's day and Iron man was great!

The sun is shinning and all is well

I am ready for the weekend. Nothing much planned except going to the show to see Iron man 2.

I need to get some tomato plants planted before it is to late and a dog groomed. I am not feeling the dog grooming so I will have to play that by ear.

It is good garage sale weather but the kittens have been going by themselves so I would have to get the old papa motivated and that isn't going to happen, I am sure. A few extra hours sleeping in is always nice so I guess I will work on that.

Happy happy B day

I had a good Birthday and felt well loved. For my birthday dinner at home I bought shrimp and crab legs and had a real seafood treat. Yumm Had to fix it but it was well worth it. The girls at work took me to lunch and I had cake at break time. The whse gets a break at 3 and we always celebrate then.
I got a call from my mom, my daughters and my oldest granddaughter. I received flowers from my youngest kitten, pretty sweet ,and a check from my mother. That is always nice.
My birthday and mothers day is always at the same time so I usually get a mothers day birthday combo every year. This is not fair because Papa kat's birthday isn't close to father's day and he gets both. Oh well what can you do.

My mother isn't doing very well, so we will have to think about making a trip to see her soon.
Papa kat said maybe in August, so I will have to check into that.
